In the film, after a lunar-rover on the Moon detects a mysterious “white shadow,” the planet’s Moon becomes the center of a huge mystery. Back on Earth, when the Moon strangely turns yellow one night, Nobita Nobi becomes convinced there’s something unusual going on. With the help of Doraemon and his futuristic gadgets, they travel to the Moon — where they accidentally create a civilization of Moon-rabbits (“Moonbits”).
There, they meet mysterious beings — a new transfer student and his sister — who claim to come from a distant lunar colony. The story unfolds into a grand space-fantasy adventure involving prophecy, secret species (the “Espals”), a tyrannical ruler, and a mission to save not just the Moon’s future, but possibly many worlds.
In short: what begins as a kid’s belief in moon-legends turns into a dramatic journey of friendship, courage, hope — and incredible lunar adventures.
